Kim Soo Hyun Fans Launch Global Action for Justice

On September 10, Kim Soo Hyun’s Canadian fandom took a decisive step in the international campaign for justice for the South Korean actor. Its members went to the Embassy of South Korea in Toronto, where they personally delivered a letter addressed to the President of the Republic of Korea.

This act marked the beginning of a new phase of international collaboration, joined by the fandom in London and, collectively, the unity formed by Spain and Latin America, who decided to act as one front.

As part of this global action, Spain and Latin America presented at the Embassy of South Korea in Spain a “Petition for Justice and Transparency in the Case of Kim Soo Hyun,” also addressed to the South Korean president. The document emphasizes universal principles of justice such as impartiality, access to information, and accountability—pillars they consider essential to ensure the process is legitimate and that the truth prevails.

The fan groups argue that only through institutional transparency can a fair trial be guaranteed and public trust in the institutions responsible for protecting justice be restored.

The coordination among the different fan groups represents a milestone in the global mobilization of Kim Soo Hyun’s followers. The movement, which already transcends borders, consolidates itself as a collective and firm voice with a clear message: fans will not stop until the case is clarified and a fair process is secured.

Beyond this specific case, the fans hope that this global action will serve as a precedent so that in the future, justice is upheld in similar situations anywhere in the world, thus reinforcing the universal value of truth, transparency, and fundamental rights.
