Yu Menglong Dies After Falling from Building, Studio Confirms
Chinese actor and singer Yu Menglong, known for “Go Princess Go” and “Eternal Love,” has died following a fall in Beijing. His studio says no crime was involved. Fans and colleagues are mourning.

Yu Menglong (born 15 June 1988 in Ürümqi, Xinjiang) has passed away. According to statements released by his studio, he died on 11 September 2025 in Beijing after a fall from a residential building.
The studio confirmed that authorities investigated the incident and found no evidence of criminal activity.
Reports say Yu had been with friends at a private dinner on the night of 10 September. He then went to a friend’s house, locked himself in a room around 2 a.m., presumably to rest. Several hours later, when people could not reach him, his body was found outside the building by a neighbour walking a dog.
Yu Menglong was 37 years old. He became famous as a singer first, then transitioned into acting. His notable works include the dramas Go Princess Go and Eternal Love. He had been active in entertainment since about 2010.
After the announcement, tributes poured in from fans and co-actors. On Chinese social media, many expressed shock and sorrow. Platforms such as Weibo have asked people to wait for official information and removed unverified rumours.
Yu’s studio asked for privacy for his family and friends. The cause of the fall hasn’t been fully detailed; investigations are ongoing in terms of confirming all circumstances.
He will be remembered for his gentle performances, romantic lead roles, and the dedication he showed in both music and acting. It’s a big loss for the C-drama community.
